WISHING YOU ALL A BLESSED LENTEN JOURNEY: with God’s grace, it is possible to change our lives. It’s never too late. This is the season of repentance and conversion, humbly acknowledging that I can do nothing without God’s amazing grace, but that “I can do all things through Jesus who strengthens me.” (Phil. 4:13). During this holy season of penance, let us take the opportunity to avail of the healing sacrament of Confession, which presses the delete button on our past. Just like Jesus in the wilderness, let us engage in spiritual warfare with Satan using the time-honoured weapons of extra prayer, fasting, and giving to the poor. I wish you a blessed, transformative Lenten journey, and let’s pray for each-other along the way.
THANK YOU FOR LAST WEEK’S COLLECTION: €1240

LENT SCRIPTURE COURSE continues on Mondays at 7pm in Lisdoonvarna Church community room.
CHILDRENS’ ROSARY: a note from Lourda: “A heartfelt thankyou to everyone for your incredible support of our bake sale, and most importantly, for your encouragement of our children’s rosary group. The bake sale raised an outstanding €559.61! The group are excited to be making a pilgrimage to Knock for the All-Ireland Rosary Rally on June 7th, God willing. We are deeply grateful to the parish for providing transport for this special trip, ensuring that our group can take part in this blessed event. We are honoured to be asked to lead a decade. The funds raised will contribute to beautiful t-shirts for the children and adults involved, to the Children’s Rosary Ireland group that generously provided us with colourful rosary beads and materials, and a donation to the parish towards the bus in appreciation of the great support. We invite everyone to join us in prayer and spread the word about our children’s rosary. Thank you again and may Our Blessed Mother continue to guide and bless us all.”
NOVENA TO ST. PATRICK: starts March 9th. Please take a prayer card, bring it home, and start your novena. On Sunday March 16th, in Lisdoonvarna church, we will celebrate a holy hour from 8-9pm ending with holy Mass for the vigil of St. Patrick. Mass on St. Patrick’s Day, Monday, March 17th, at 9:30am in Lisdoonvarna.
A WARM WELCOME TO FR. IGNATIUS MC CORMACK who is covering Masses in Doolin and Lisdoonvarna this Sunday while I attend an initiation Mass for Sean Howe in Loughrea cathedral. As you know, the dioceses of Clonfert and Galway/Kilfenora are working closely together now. We wish Sean every blessing as he journeys towards full membership of the Church at the Easter Vigil.
PARISH FINANCE COMMITTEE, TAKE A BOW: recent kind words from Mr. Tom Hansberry, Diocesan Financial Administrator and Property Manager: “clearly the parish accounts are in good shape, and it is a credit to the Finance Committee that so much is happening in the parish and the books are still being balanced each year.” Of course, we could not do it without the support of your good selves. Thank you so much for all your kindness and generosity, and may God bless you and yours. Fr. Robert.
