FASTING IN LENT: Fr, Thady Doyle suggests that we tick the top three of these which apply to ourselves and ask the Holy Spirit to help us work on them during Lent. Fast from thinking only of yourself. Fast from gossip. Fast from judgmentalism. Fast from bitterness. Fast from getting annoyed and worked up over little things. Fast from making cutting remarks. Fast from making excuses not to attend Mass. Fast from worrying about things over which I have no control. Fast from giving into laziness concerning prayer. Fast from taking offence and getting into disputes. Fast from putting things on the long finger that could and should be done now. Fast from social media.

HOLY WEEK LITURGIES IN OUR PARISH: Holy Week is the holiest week of the year when we celebrate the high point of our salvation-story: the passion, death, and resurrection of Our Lord, in which we all share because of our Baptism, thereby giving purpose and meaning to all our own passions, deaths, and resurrections, promising us that all our Good Fridays will become Easter Sundays, if we just trust, hope, and surrender. It is most important therefore that we make time to enter into these three most holy days.
